I’ve always been a very visual person. That said, it’s obvious why fashion has such an appeal. Proportions, color, textures—all VERY visually stimulating.
Lately I’ve paid most attention to contrasting hues, particularly with solid colors. We need to remember that pieces can go together, even if they aren’t meant to.

Notice how Mary-Kate Olsen brings an orange pop to her white and blue ensemble.
Trust your instinct and play with color. Being too “matchy-matchy” can become a real problem. Lots of times when everything matches from head to toe, it looks overdone. Style should look effortless. Spice it up with some color contrast!
P.s. Pay attention to the color tones you are ‘throwing’ together because colors that clash usually look tacky, instead of chic.
